Deve Gowda warns Prajwal to return to India and surrender to the police
Khadak has warned Prajwal Revanna, who fled abroad after the pen drive of obscene videos went viral.
"Go back to India, surrender to the police, otherwise you will face my wrath," he posted on social media.
Detail of Deve Gowda's letter: 'I spoke about Prajwal Revanna when I left for the temple on 18th May. "It took some time to come out of the shock and pain that he has caused to me, my family, my colleagues, friends and my party workers and speak," he began the letter.
I have already said that in case of wrongdoing, severe punishment should be given as per law. My son HD Kumaraswamy has also said the same since the day the scandal came to light,' he wrote.
I am aware that people are using harsh words about me and our family against Nana. I don't stop them, I don't criticize them, I don't argue with them. All of them wrote that they should wait till the truth comes out.
I cannot convince people that I was not aware of Prajwal's activities, I cannot convince them that I have no desire to protect him. I cannot convince people that I was not aware of his movements, his foreign trips. I believe in answering my conscience. I believe in God and I know that God knows the truth
In this case I can only do one thing now. That is, I can and am saying that Prajwal should come wherever he is, surrender before the police and face trial, without any pretext or consent. He should also know that this is my warning to him. If he does not heed this warning he will face the wrath of me and the entire family. The law is there to judge the wrongs he is said to have committed. But if he does not heed this warning, he will no doubt be lonely in the eyes of his family. If he has any respect for me, he should come back immediately," Devegowda said in the letter.
I have issued a warning to @iPrajwalRevanna to return immediately from wherever he is and subject himself to the legal process. He should not test my patience any further. pic.twitter.com/kCMuNJOvAo
