The reported trilateral defence agreement signed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, under which an armed attack on any one of the three countries would reportedly be treated as an attack on all.

Responding to questions on the development, Randhir Jaiswal said, "This is also a development that we are closely following, and we shall keep you updated."

If implemented as reported, the agreement would represent a significant strategic alignment among the three nations, potentially strengthening defence cooperation, intelligence sharing, military coordination, and regional security collaboration.

The reported pact has drawn international attention due to its potential impact on the geopolitical balance in West Asia and South Asia. Analysts believe such an arrangement could influence regional security dynamics and future diplomatic engagements.

India has not commented further on the implications of the agreement, maintaining that it is assessing the development. The Ministry of External Affairs' response indicates that New Delhi is closely watching the evolving situation before making any detailed assessment.

Further details regarding the scope, implementation mechanism, and operational provisions of the reported defence pact are awaited from the participating countries.
