Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar has assured that the safety and well-being of Kannadigas affected by disruptions along the Nepal–Tibet border remain a top priority for the state government.

The government is working in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian diplomatic missions to identify Karnataka residents who may be stranded in Nepal or the Tibet Autonomous Region following flash floods and disruptions in the region.

Stranded persons, their family members and tour operators have been urged to provide the required details through the government’s designated Google Form to facilitate identification and assistance.

For immediate assistance, the Karnataka government has asked citizens to contact the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) at 1070 or 080-22253707, or email seockarnataka@gmail.com.

The state government said it is maintaining coordination with central authorities and Indian missions to assess the situation and facilitate assistance and evacuation, wherever necessary.

Authorities have urged families with relatives or tour groups potentially affected by the disruptions to share accurate information promptly so that officials can establish contact and provide appropriate assistance.
