NCB Busts Major Inter-State Drug Syndicate, Uncovers Clandestine Drug Lab in Mysuru
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted a major inter-state drug trafficking syndicate and uncovered a clandestine drug manufacturing laboratory in Mysuru, Karnataka, officials said on Thursday.
Acting on specific intelligence, NCB officers conducted coordinated raids across multiple locations, leading to the detection of an illegal drug lab allegedly involved in the production of synthetic narcotics. Preliminary findings indicate that the syndicate had links spanning several states, suggesting an organised network involved in manufacturing, distribution, and interstate transportation of narcotic substances.
During the operation, NCB seized drug-making equipment, chemical precursors, and finished narcotic products, though the exact quantity and nature of the substances are yet to be officially disclosed. Multiple suspects have been detained for questioning, and arrests are expected to follow after further verification.
Drugs worth approx. Rs 10 crore (street value), along with Rs 25.6 lakh in cash, a Toyota Fortuner & over 500 kg of various chemicals have been seized so far in the case.
🔷 Four drug traffickers, including the mastermind, have been arrested. All the accused are residents of Jalore, Rajasthan.
🔷 Investigation is underway to identify other members of the drug cartel & to trace the supply chain of lab equipment & chemicals used in the lab.
