Karnataka CM Swearing-In : Govt Declares Half-Day Closure Near Vidhana Soudha
The Karnataka government has announced a half-day closure of government offices in and around the Vidhana Soudha area on June 3 in view of the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister-designate D. K. Shivakumar.
According to the notification, the decision has been taken to facilitate security arrangements, traffic management, and the movement of dignitaries expected to attend the ceremony. Government employees working in offices located within the designated zone will be affected by the half-day closure.
Authorities are also expected to impose traffic diversions and restrictions around the central administrative district of Bengaluru to ensure smooth conduct of the event. Citizens have been advised to plan their travel accordingly and follow traffic advisories issued by the police.
The swearing-in ceremony is expected to draw senior political leaders, religious sri government officials, and party workers from across the state. Security has been heightened in and around Vidhana Soudha, with additional personnel deployed for crowd and traffic management.
