Karnataka Cabinet Portfolio Allocation Announced Under CM D.K. Shivakumar leadership
Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar has allocated portfolios to his newly formed cabinet, retaining the key Finance and Personnel departments while distributing major ministries among senior Congress leaders.

D. K. Shivakumar – Finance, Personnel & Administrative Reforms, Cabinet Affairs, Intelligence, and all unallocated portfolios.
G. Parameshwara – Revenue, Youth Empowerment & Sports.
Priyank Kharge – Home, Information Technology & Biotechnology.
K. J. George – Energy and Tourism.
M. B. Patil – Large & Medium Industries.
Satish Jarkiholi – Public Works Department (PWD).
K. H. Muniyappa – Food & Civil Supplies.
Krishna Byre Gowda – Bengaluru Urban Development (Greater Bengaluru Authority).
R. Ramalinga Reddy – Major & Medium Irrigation.
Bairathi Suresh – Transport.
U. T. Khader – Health & Family Welfare.
Yathindra Siddaramaiah – Urban Development.
Eshwar Khandre – Rural Development & Panchayat Raj.
Sharan Prakash Patil – Medical Education.
The allocation followed intense internal consultations, with reports of dissatisfaction among some senior leaders over portfolio assignments. The Bengaluru Urban Development portfolio and other key departments were among the most sought-after positions in the cabinet formation process.
Notably, the new cabinet has also faced criticism for not including any women ministers in its initial composition, though the Chief Minister has indicated that future expansion may address the issue.
