3 Lashkar-e-Taiba Operatives Die in Pakistan Within Days : Unknown Gunmen action Suspected
Islamabad: Three senior operatives linked to the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba have died in separate incidents within a span of a few days, prompting speculation about the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
Among the deceased is Ghazi Mumtaz, described as a veteran LeT trainer, who reportedly died under unexplained circumstances in Upper Dir.
The second operative, Muhammad Khuzaimah Qasim, was reportedly killed in an alleged hit-and-run incident in Bahawalpur. Qasim was the brother of senior LeT leader Muhammad Yaqoob. Reports indicate that his funeral was attended by Hafiz Abdul Mannan Makki, brother of LeT co-founder Abdul Rehman Makki.
The third, Khalid Bashir, was reportedly found dead under suspicious circumstances. Authorities have not publicly disclosed the cause of death.
