Death of two bikers who fell into a ditch and went to bring birthday cake for sister daughter

The incident in which two youths died after falling into a ditch took place on the outskirts of Nagavi village in Gadag taluk.

Manjunath Madar (19) Basavaraj Javalabenchi (17) of Lakkundi village of Gadag taluk died.

Manjunath had gone with his friend Basavaraj to celebrate his birthday at his relative's house. He took a cake on the way and left for Elesirunda.

Due to torrential rains, the road on Nagavi and Nagavi Tanda Marg was washed away and a big ditch was created in the middle of the road. Unaware of this, the biker fell into the ditch, got seriously injured and died on the spot. A case has been registered at Gadag rural police station.
