High Court permission for Isha Foundation Adiyogi statue unveiling program!

The High Court has given permission for the unveiling of Adiyogi statue organized by Isha Foundation.

The Karnataka High Court has given permission for the Adiyogi statue unveiling program to be held by Isha Foundation on Sunday, January 15. However, I have ordered to maintain the status quo without carrying out the rest of the work.

The Vice President and CM are arriving for the program scheduled on January 15 Sankranti. This program is scheduled even before the filing of the PIL. Therefore, Isha Foundation requested permission to organize the program.

The High Court granted this plea and the trees should not be felled, only necessary arrangements should be made. It has given permission to hold the program for one day with the condition that the status quo should continue.

There was a setback to the state government and the Isha Yoga Center regarding the installation of Adiyogi statue by Isha Foundation in Chikkaballapur. The High Court had issued an interim order to maintain the status quo in the matter of Adiyogi statue. The government and the Isha Yoga Center jointly issued notices to 16 respondents.

Counsel for the petitioner said that the place where Adiyogi statue is installed is an ecologically sensitive zone and it is not right to use it for commercial purposes. Shivprakash approached the court.

The government has illegally allotted land for the installation of Adiyogi statue. It has been argued that Nandi Hill has historical significance. The High Court allowed to challenge the government's notification saying that it can be accepted that it may affect the environment, and ordered the status quo.
