Charged electric scooter blast: household items burnt

An incident in which an electric scooter exploded while charging took place in Velagerehalli of Maddur taluk.

It used to be parked inside the house of Muthuraj in Maddur taluk. Just like charging a scooter every day, even yesterday an electric battery-powered scooter was placed in a corner of the house for charging.

However, the scooter that was charged at night exploded within a few hours. Due to this explosion, the bike was completely damaged and other household items in the house were also burnt.

As a result, electrical appliances like TV, fridge, fans and light bulbs are completely damaged. The dining table, which was next to the scooter, and many other wooden items were also burnt. Fortunately, all escaped unharmed.

There was a lot of noise and a fire was seen. Immediately the family members and other neighbors joined in and extinguished the fire which was burning with water.
