Misbehavior with girl students, headmaster suspended

The Education Department has suspended a teacher and headmaster of a school in Tumkur district for allegedly sexually harassing a girl student.

Manjunath, an amorous teacher, has been issued a suspension order by Madhugiri BEO Timmaraju by Head Teacher Nataraj on grounds of dereliction of duty.

According to sources, Manjunath, a teacher at Boragunte Government Primary School, used to misbehave and sexually harass female students on a daily basis. Meanwhile, the headmaster Nataraj has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. The victim's parents, who got information about the crime, along with other local residents entered the school premises and questioned the accused teacher about the act. Also, the group beat up Manjunath and handed him over to the police.
