2.10 crores for unrecorded times. Arrested Election Officers

₹2.10 crore which was being transported without documents. It was confiscated at Hunnur check post in Jamkhandi taluk of the district.

Bagalkote District Collector and District Returning Officer P. Sunil Kumar has informed that a total of 2.10 crores of suspicious and undocumented cash was seized at the Hunnura Checkpost established under Jamkhandi constituency of Bagalkote district.

A suspicious vehicle was stopped and an unrecorded amount of Rs 2.10 Crores was seized at Jamkhandi's Hunnur Check Post when the members of the Statistical Survey team were conducting an inspection.

A person related to Souharda Bank said that since the documents provided could not be considered perfect, they were given more opportunity to provide the documents, and the said amount was confiscated and deposited to the government treasury of Jamkhandi by the Election Officer's office. A report has been submitted to the district level money forfeiture relief committee along with panchanama, and the said committee will review the matter and take action.
