A rare black leopard has finally been captured in Uttara Kannada district

A rare black panther has been captured in Uttara Kannada district and people are heaving a sigh of relief.

The forest department has finally succeeded in catching the black leopard which had been harassing the people in Vanduru village of Honnavar taluk of Uttara Kannada district.

In Salkoda-Arengadi and Vandur parts of Honnavar taluk, the cows left to graze on the hill kept disappearing. Locals had informed the forest department about the disappearance of many cows in Kadle, Duggur and Vandur hill areas and demanded to capture the leopard.

In this background, for the last two months, the forest department has been successful in keeping cages and conducting operations in these parts to catch this leopard
