Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Bidar on Saturday in the background of assembly elections. Prime Minister Modi was met by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa and Union Minister Bhagwant Khooba supported him.

Prime Minister Modi started his speech in Kannada at the BJP conference in Humanabad, Bidar, saying, "My salutations to the land of Jagadguru Basaveshwar and Shiv Sharan, my election campaign has started from the land of Basavanna." He said hello to my dear brothers who have come in such numbers.

He campaigned heavily for BJP candidates in nine constituencies including six in Bidar district and three in Kalburgi district.
