Appointment of District Judge as Temporary Administrator for Muruga Math

The Karnataka High Court has issued an order appointing a Pradhana District Court judge as the temporary administrator for Muruga Math.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Prasanna B Varale and Justice M G S Kamal of the High Court today heard the appeal filed challenging the cancellation of the appointment of an administrative officer to Muruga Math.
The High Court bench has appointed the Chief District Judge of Chitradurga as the temporary administrator of Muruga Math until July 18, when the appeal petition is scheduled to be heard.
Ordered to take charge at 11 am tomorrow. Until further orders, the Principal District Judge has been appointed as the Administrator of Jagadguru Murugharajendra Math, Vidyapeeth, and shall look after the day-to-day affairs of the Math, Vidyapeeth.
No policy decisions can be taken. Chitradurga District Collector should cooperate with the District Judge. The Division Bench has suggested that the cooperation sought by the District Judge should be given.
