Test flight, cloaked unmanned Tapas UAV

An unmanned tapas plane crashed near Vaddikere village in Hiriyur taluk of the district.

A combat aircraft developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) near Cuddapur in Challakere taluk took off from Cuddapur Air Base on Sunday morning.

Tapas UAV, a drone model, lost control while conducting a test flight and crashed near Vaddikere and crashed in Siddappa's farm. No accident occurred.

District Superintendent of Police K. Parashuram and Air Force personnel have reached the spot.
