2 BJP MPs injured in Rahul Gandhi push on Parliament threshold, police complaint lodged
Some MPs were injured in a stampede when BJP MPs were protesting against the Congress party in front of Parliament.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Pratap Sarangi suffered a serious head injury and said, "I fell and sustained injuries because Rahul Gandhi pushed me."
"I was standing in front of Parliament. Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP. I collapsed because that MP fell on me," Sarangi said.
In the incident, he suffered a serious head injury and started bleeding. Bengaluru Rural MP and former Director of Jayadeva Hospital, Dr.CN Manjunath, who was present there is said to have given him first aid.
Angry BJP MPs heard shouting, "Rahul Gandhi, aren't you ashamed? Are you behaving like a goonda?".
All this was recorded in a video in which Rahul Gandhi was seen arriving at the spot where Pratap Sarangi was undergoing treatment, but he did not even bother to enquire what had happened to Sarangi.
On Pratap Sarangi's allegations, Rahul Gandhi said, "Yes, yes, it is, it is. That's right. But pushing doesn't do anything. I wanted to go inside Parliament. It is my right to go to Parliament, there is an attempt to stop it," he said.
