First commercial domestic flight landed at Shimoga airport

The first commercial domestic flight landed at the Shivamogga airport on Thursday afternoon. It took almost six months for the Shivamogga people, after the inauguration of the airport, to witness this wonderful movement.
Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyuarappa, state minister for industries MB Patil and other leaders were seen on the aircraft which travelled from Bengaluru to Shivamogga.
Sharing the experience on this new flight former CM BS Yediyurappa said, An unforgettable, meaningful occasion of my life! The long-awaited dream of the people of Shimoga district has come true, the flights officially started from Shimoga airport today. This will facilitate the overall development of the district including tourism, industry and the travel of the people of the hill country. I am grateful to our farmers who have given their land and are the main reason for the construction of this airport. Traveling with the farmers of our district along with ministers and people's representatives on the first flight has caused meaningful happiness.
On June 15, 2020, as the Chief Minister of the state, I laid the foundation stone for the Shimoga Airport. On my birthday on February 27 this year, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri
@narendramodi
inaugurated the well-equipped Shimoga Airport and the flight service has officially started today. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of the people of the district to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and to everyone who has cooperated in the realization of aviation services and facilities.
I am forever indebted to the party and the people of the country for allowing me to serve the country as a representative of the people. Everyone should get equal share, equality and social justice, development is the only way for that. Our sincere efforts will continue in this regard.
